This species is an important component of the coastal demersal fisheries resources of the country, where it is mainly caught using inter tidal fence nets and dome shaped wire traps, known locally as Al hadrah and gargoor, respectively. Landings of snappers, predominantly L. fulviflamma, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the southern Arabian Gulf in totalled 121 metric tonnes during 2003 (Ref. 94051). Also Ref. 55. |
